Should You Ever Combine Salicylic and Glycolic Acid?
Simultaneous application of high-strength AHA and BHA can disrupt the stratum corneum barrier, leading to irritation and rebound oiliness. Alternate them on different nights, or use a gentle pre-formulated multi-acid rinse at pH 3.8 to 4.0 no more than twice weekly.
